Fall Chapter Meeting photos
We had such a wonderful day learning and mingling with everyone at our recent Fall Chapter Meeting! If you missed this one, we hope you can join us at our Spring Growers Meeting held in March. Be sure you’re signed up for our online newsletter to receive updates on member meetings and more! Thank you to our wonderful speakers, shown in the photos in order (after a brief welcome and introduction by board president Dan O’Keefe)- Bruce Levine (wearing cap), Lake Graboski, Rick Hartlieb, and Ricky Tegtmeier.
Many of our members/attendees are friends or partners who enjoy attending meetings together. Many members don’t arrive together but are glad to catch up at meetings, and some attendees are quite new to our group and perhaps even to the American chestnut. All are so very welcome. We are happy to see old friends and new alike!
Thank you to: Tim Eck for bringing hybrid chestnuts to share, Chris Ditlow for bringing his beautiful woodwork art for us to auction at the next meeting, and to our volunteers who assisted in many ways throughout the day from setting up, checking in, helping with clean-up, and tearing down tables and chairs. We appreciate you!
After the meeting, those interested went to nearby Boyd Big Tree Preserve to check out the mixed chestnut orchard there (Americans and hybrids) and continue the conversation. It was a perfect end to this fantastic day!
