End-of-Year Appeal
Well, friends, it’s that time again! The time when we must humbly ask for your help to keep our chapter thriving, our science advancing, our trees growing tall, and our operations running smoothly. Your contributions are vital to our restoration mission! This year, we are looking the big picture with a carefully considered goal of $60,000. Click on the expandable items for details of the needs this will serve in 2027 and beyond. Please let us know if you wish your donation to go to a specific designation.

We have a need for a summer intern at the PSU arboretum orchard. A terrific opportunity for a student to contribute to our breeding program!

It is best to be prepared. Unexpected expenses arise, sometimes not-so-unexpected. As early as this summer, we anticipate need of a storage facility for our mowers and tractor. We must also plan for repairs and eventual replacement of our work truck. We’d like to be proactive and begin setting aside funds for these eventualities as well as potential surprise expenses.

Lift rentals are an ongoing need for the foreseeable future. Controlled pollinations simply aren't possible without them!

One thing that often holds back potential partners who want to start an orchard or participate in a reforestation trial is the cost of protection from whitetail deer browse. We’d like to help growers over that hurdle with a program to contribute to fencing. We recognize this is an important and worthy cause and look forward to seeing what partnerships are made possible through this program.
